Prolotherapy: A solution containing water and 10-30% dextrose is injected into the joint or tissue to initiate an inflammatory cascade. Inflammation is good in this case because attention and healing factors are brought to an area the body was no longer recognizing. The end result is decreased pain and strengthened ligaments and joints. Indications: Torn ligaments, tendons. labrum or meniscus (has the potential to prevent surgery); hyper-mobile joints; chronic jaw, neck, back, hip, elbow or knee pain.

Perineural therapy: A solution of water and 5% dextrose is injected around a nerve to temporarily change the membrane potential. As a result the nervous system can reset previously malfunctioning pain signals. Think of the body as a hardwired computer system, sometimes it just needs a good reboot. Indications: Lingering pain or muscle tension.

Trigger point injections: Inappropriate and prolonged nerve impulses to neuromuscular junctions may result in chronic muscle tension, spasm or pain . By injecting the affected neuromuscular trigger point with local anesthetic, it is possible to break the ongoing pattern, allowing muscle to release and return to normal function. Indications: Muscle tension and pain.

Platelet rich plasma (PRP): PRP uses ingredients from your own blood to treat damaged tissue. The therapy starts with a blood draw, which is then spun in a centrifuge, the platelet rich plasma is separated then injected at the site of concern (e.g., elbow, knee, shoulder).
